Every sunrise is different and some don't turn up at all, it's mostly pot luck as to what will be revealed, will there be clouds, will it redden the sky, will it last, etc, etc. My front door faces east and I can therefore make a reasonable estimate of what to expect leading up to sunrise. I can be on the local harbour wall, set-up and ready to shoot in twenty minutes. Of all the sunrises, I have seen three or four that I would call keepers. On this particular morning, the clouds were spectacular, the magic happened well before sunrise and continued for about fifteen minutes. I got off dozens of shots and also overlapped shots for stitching as the cloud wasn't moving too fast, hope you enjoy.
