Maryland, USA by Xavier Ascanio

A spring storm blanketed our area with a heavy coat of fresh snow. While it was still snowing I went out to take some pictures of a nice, well-proportioned oak tree that sits in the middle of one of the few remaining undeveloped tracts of land in our area. The majestic tree and the fence in the foreground contrasted nicely with the grey sky and white snow. The lack of color and sound made for a surreal scene and for a while I felt as if I had been magically transported to a far away land.
