Cat Burton Reveals The Magic of Scotland’s Landscapes at Edinburgh Exhibition
Perthshire photographer Cat Burton returns to Edinburgh to exhibit her work at Ocean Terminal in September 2017.
Cat Burton is a British photographer who has made a permanent home near Perth in Scotland. A self taught artist, her work primarily focuses on the Scottish landscape with an aim to reveal the magic and mystery of the land around us.
Cat’s latest work which will be on display at the exhibition portrays landscapes from around the world, with a key focus on Scotland. For each work, Cat spends many hours in post-production adding extra elements such as flocks of birds or wild deer to reveal the magic of the place as she sees it.
Commenting on her upcoming exhibition, Cat said: “I’m excited to show my works in Edinburgh - a city I adore and where I used to call home. I have always had a fascination with myth and fantasy and love to show the magic of Scotland through my works.”
The exhibition will run from 1st to 30th September 2017 at the Image Collective gallery in Ocean Terminal. 15 signed limited edition pieces will be on display and will be available for purchase for the duration of the event.
Cat runs a free photo club for photographers of all levels in Perth. The club meets monthly and everyone is welcome to join. Further information can be found on the club’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PerthPhotoClubScotland
