I was on my photo tour from Yosemite through Mono Lake to Lone Pine. I was planning to try Milky Way shooting from Alabama Hills using the very low light pollution of the area. I was too excited and arrived in the afternoon, so I decided to visit the desert and find a plece in daylight for the night scene. I felt very lucky to see the special sunset experience thanks to some clouds and the beautiful edges of the Eastern Sierras. It was hard to capture all the lights without gradient filter, but it is still one of my favourite shots.
