The plan was to drive down to McWay Falls in Big Sur, California and make the two and a half hour drive along scenic highway 1 for sunset. An hour and half into my drive, I noticed the clouds didn't look promising and wasn’t sure if I should keep going or turn back to an alternative location. Another ten minutes passed and had to make the decision that the sunset wasn’t going to happen as the clouds didn’t look promising. So I changed the plan and headed back to Monterey and catch Lone Cypress in hopes for better cloud conditions at sunset. I was glad I did, as the color was just beautiful.
