Sand Ripples, Ladakh, India by Satie Sharma

The trans-Himalayan region of Ladakh in India is a diverse landscape. It is separated from the plains of India by the Great Himalaya. To its west is the Zanskar range and to the east the Pangong range. Within these terrific boundaries are jewels like the sand dunes in Hundar in Nubra valley.

This shot was made in the morning at the Hundar sand dunes. The light cast some dramatic shadows and I took a low angle shot to enhance the perspective.
