Sossusvlei is part of the Namib Naukluft National Park, located in the western part of Namibia, and is famous for its enormous dunes. Situated about 40 km west of Sesriem, Dune 40 is one of the less know sand dunes in the valley. Although, due to the position of the little tree in front of this massive dune, Dune 40 is very photogenic, especially at sunset.
