Lavender Fields, Provence, France by Dean Allan

I'd been wanting to visit the Lavender Fields in Haute Provence ever since I saw an evocative image by Daniel Kordan illustrating the sheer beauty of the Plateau and I wasn't disappointed – the views, the smell, the colours and even the bees, simply an amazing experience.

This image was taken at sunset. The lone tree in the distance was captured without the ever present selfie brigade trampling across the field forever taken pictures of themselves.
