Playa Gueirua, Asturias, Spain by Hilda Champion

The Northern Coast of Spain is known for its steep cliffs, strong winds, harsh waves, and sea stacks.
Consisting of steep columns, sea stacks are formed over time when part of the headland is eroded by the sea crashing constantly against the rock. Eventually, erosion will cause the stack to collapse, leaving only a stump.

With sweeping vistas of sea stacks, Playa Gueirua is one of most iconic locations in Spain.
