Neist Point Lighthouse, Isle of Skye, Scotland by Nuno Morais

This picture was taken during my recent trip to Scotland. I was planing this journey a long time ago as this country was on the top of my "photographic desired locations" list. The visit of the Isle of Skye was mandatory, so during my preparation I saw a picture of this location, the Neist Point Lighthouse. I immediately decided that I had to photograph this place.

I planned everything carefully so I could be there at the right time, to do some sunset photos. During the trip everything was going like my plans and I was before the majesty of this scene right before the sunset. So as the sun was coming down, I started to photograph with multiple different exposures and compositions, but was after the sunset, right in the blue-hour, this lovely purple and pink reflections started to reveal in the sky. Magical moment! I decided to do this very long-exposure of 120sec to soften the water as much as I could and to improve the tones of the sky. When I come home and saw this picture, I instantly knew that I prefer this one over the golden-hour ones, this blue-purple.pink balance really captured my eyes. Hope that you like as much as I do!
