Southbourne Beach, Dorset, England by Martin Dolan

The old wooden groynes on Southbourne Beach, Dorset make wonderful foreground subjects. I arrived for sunset one evening in April whilst the sun still sets in shot when shooting the beach.

A storm front was slowly moving in, snuffing out the light on offer. Using the lines of the wooden planks I wanted to create a low perspective shot without focus stacking. By carefully focusing a third into my frame I was able to do this just as the last rays of light burst through the impending doom!
