Lavender Fields, Valensole, France by Fabrice Petruzzi

The sunrise on the farmhouse place at Valensole in France. The best moment to see it is in late June. This lavender field is one of the must visited in the area. A very nice place, but with many people in the fields. It's very hard to get an image with nobody in the frame. That morning I was lucky because only 5-6 photographers were present and everyone was aligned.

Camera Nikon D810
Lens Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 Art
Aperture f/8
S/S 1/25sec
ISO 64
Additional Notes This is 3 series of 5 bracketed images with a focus stacking.

  1. I take a lavender drive to the Drôme at the end of June, and to the area of Ferrassières mid July, and every year I marvel at the beauty of the lavender fields.
