The colorful sunrise never came that day in Lake Matheson, New Zealand, nevertheless the blue hour tones were more inspiring than I anticipated. The heavy clouds started forming quickly to the point where it started raining. The lake was agitated by the drop but the low light allowed be to take a long exposure to smooth the water and have they eyes focused on the mountains framed by the dark silhouetted trees.
