Kootenay Plains, Canadian Rockies, Canada by Jin Gong

I took this picture at The Kootenay Plains, which is a hidden gem in the Canadian Rockies. Normally the lake in Kootenay Plains is frozen in December. However this year is very warm and the Lake is not completely frozen over. Fluctuating water levels make ice conditions on the lake unpredictable. These conditions made my view of the broken ice.

  1. What great composition and light! The broken triangular shapes lead one’s eye right back into those gorgeous mountains.
