Drawbridge Roskilde Viking Ship Museum, Denmark by Martin Djernaes

At the bottom of the dome in Roskilde is the fjord and the Viking Ship Museum who besides harboring five 1000 year old ships found in the fjord, also has a workshop where they build replicas of the ships used by the vikings. These ship are all build using the same tools as used by the vikings. Some of these are seen in the foreground.

The bridge connect the workshop area, on a small island, with the are on which the museum is located.

About Author

Martin Djernaes

I'm a hobby photographer who enjoys a good scenery. I started out my hobby in 2001 using a Canon "rebel" film camera. Later I used slides because the colors were nicer - I took the plunge and bought a my first DSLR in 2004 though my most important purchase ever was a good tripod (Manfrotto 3021 pro - aluminum because it was cheaper than carbon) I like to hike with my family to see and photograph great places.
