Polar Bear by India Burchell

This male polar bear was very active and I raced around trying to get a good angle. Frustrated, I was sure that my luck had run out - until I noticed that he kept walking away and returning to the same place. Feeling excited, I set up in the area where I guessed he would walk towards me. I wasn't sure that he would even come back but after a while of patiently waiting he stalked right towards me around the edge of the cave and I was able to capture this photo. Experimenting with my 85mm lens meant that I could get his whole body in the photo rather than a portrait shot. I urge everyone to try experimenting with different lenses!
