Mosteiros Beach, Azores, Portugal by Marco Zaffignani

Long exposure of a spectacular glimpse in the extreme northwest of the island of Sao Miguel, Azores. Here the surfers give us in front of the two huge carvings (symbols of Mosteiros) emerging from the water about 150 meters from the shore. For this long exposure I wait for a bit of dark and snap, using an ND1000 filter. In this way, sky and sea are transformed into something ethereal. While the camera processes the shot, i take advantage for mount the tent. This photo reminds me of that particular night on the ocean.
