This image was captured at sunrise at the waterfall on the River Sligachan which is a ten-minute easy walk from the Sligachan Hotel. The remains of a hurricane had hit the Isle of Skye the previous day and the weather conditions were still dramatic on the morning of my visit. It rained periodically but the light was absolutely magical. When I saw a rain storm passing by Marsco, the distinctive hill on the east of Glen Sligachan, I took various images and later opted for this one because for me it conveys best the mood and atmosphere of the scene.
