Monument Valley Sunset, Arizona, USA by Yves Couturier

Spring break is the time I love taking a trip to the west. On my way to Moab I always stop at Monument Valley as the place is so relaxing and staying at the hotel, the view is a great experience.

We arrived late afternoon and the sky wasn't too dramatic for photos. I took a few pics on the loop and I was waiting for opportunities at the sunset. There were many photographers there around sunset time but just as they all left, the lighting became much more interesting – it was cool to be the only one to enjoy it. Always be patient with sunset, 30 minutes after it could reveal much better colors .
